Upcycle baby food jars into Lego head containers! I’ve seen this idea on pinterest on so many pins, so I thought it must be worth a try. I wanted to do this together with my 7 year-old son to let him help prepare for his upcoming birthday party. He was so excited to make these and was very proud of himself afterwards. These diy lego heads rocked as candy filled party favors! Kids just loved them at the party.

You can also use these little lego heads to store those teeny tiny most special Legos. All you need is clean jars and lids, yellow spray paint and a permanent marker. These little diy heads go well together with the original [amazon_textlink asin=’B003NE5L86′ text=’bigger Lego heads’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’treasureddiy-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’bde3523c-f86b-11e7-ad66-9374e134d325′].

These little jar heads are also great to decorate for that Lego themed party and to give out to guests. My 7 year-old son and I made twelve of these Lego heads together form start to finish and filled them with candy. All his friends were so happy to have one to take home. We should have made more! Let your kids help and have fun together making funny lego faces 🙂

These are fun to make and easy as 1-2-3:

Spray paint to color the heads (affiliate link image)

1. Make sure your jars are clean and dry. Paint the baby food jars with yellow spray paint on the outside and let dry. Add a second layer if needed. My son and I painted the jars outside. We had them upside-down on sticks so it was really easy to paint. The lids we just had separate on a piece of cardboard. My son did the coat of paint and I did the second.

Sharpie is a great marker, I highly recommend! (affiliate link image)

2. Use a marker to draw faces. This is fun part! Get out all your kid’s Lego guys for ideas and get creative.

3. Fill up your new Lego head jars. If you spray paint on the outside it is safe put candy etc. inside.

Have fun with Legos and enjoy your new unique Lego head containers!
